How much can I save on gas?
Your savings will vary depending on electricity and gas prices in your area and whether you opt to charge at home or a public charger. Estimates on fuel savings vary, but some show that EV owners spend around 60 percent less on fuel costs each year compared to drivers of gas-powered cars.
What credits and incentives are available?
EV incentives and credits are available for purchasing or leasing an EV and even installing a charger. Check with our team to see if the model you're interested in is eligible for the federal tax credit of $7,500. There may also be state and local rebates and incentives available.
How long will my electric vehicle's battery last?
The life expectancy of an electric car battery varies depending on many factors, such as climate and vehicle use. Some estimates suggest that modern batteries will last between 8 and 15 years.
Are electrified vehicles better for the environment?
Beyond the individual benefits of switching to an electrified car, truck, or SUV, the environment also benefits. HEVs and PHEVs typically produce fewer tailpipe emissions than traditional engines since they use less gas, while gas-free EVs produce zero tailpipe emissions.
How long does an electric vehicle take to charge?
This varies depending on which electric vehicle you select and what charger you use. PHEVs generally take less time to charge, while EVs take longer due to their larger battery. A level 1 charger can take 40-50+ hours to charge an EV, while a level 2 charger can charge an EV in 4-10 hours. DC fast chargers take the least amount of time and take around 20 minutes to 1 hour to charge an EV.
Will I be able to charge my electric vehicle while on the go?
Yes! Ford's BLUEOVAL™ charging network boasts over 84,000 chargers across the country, making it easy to recharge your vehicle wherever you are. Plus, starting in 2024, Ford EV customers will have access to Tesla's supercharger network, adding another 12,000 charger options for you to choose from.
Do I need to install a special charger at my home?
Not necessarily. Level 1 chargers that come standard with electric vehicles can be plugged into a normal household outlet. If you want a faster charge, you can opt to have a level 2 charger installed.
Will my electric Ford come with a warranty?
Yes! All Ford EVs come with a warranty. Extended warranties are also available. Speak with one of our team members to learn more.

What are the different types of electric vehicles?
The most common types of electrified vehicles are Electric Vehicles (EVs), Hybrids (HEVs), and Plug-In Hybrids (PHEVs). Electric Vehicles (EVs) are exclusively powered by electricity and are re-charged by being plugged into a charger. Hybrids and Plug-In Hybrids still use some gas to power the engine. As the name suggests, a plug-in hybrid’s electric battery is charged by plugging it into a charger and tends to have a larger battery than HEVs. In hybrid vehicles (HEVs), the battery is charged by the gas-powered engine as it runs.
