spring in Washington Court House, OH

The sun is shining and the breeze is getting warmer. You know what that means! Springtime is here in Washington Court House, OH, and it’s time to enjoy some great spring activities in the region. The following are just a few of the local events that we recommend.

1. Fayette Christian School Benefit Auction

Join the students and teachers of this school on Saturday, April 22 at 9 a.m. for a live benefit auction. Bid on goods made and sponsored by the students, like homemade quilts and furniture that the kids have refurbished themselves. You can even bid on a vacation! They will also host a bake sale, so be sure to buy some delicious goods to bring home. The auction will be held at Fayette Christian School, 1315 Dayton Ave. NW.

2. Get Some Motivation: “Weekend of Grit”

Come out for a weekend of fitness, where you will be challenged to push yourself to the next level. Start working on your summer body by joining the three events that will embody strength, resilience, and fortitude. At the end of the weekend, the top three male and the top three female athletes will be announced. Sign up on the website before April 28 and join one event for $60 or all three for $150.

The event, located at 2462 Old US 35, will be held on Saturday, April 29 starting at 7 a.m. and ending on Sunday, April 30 at 3 p.m.

3. 10th Annual Autism Horseshoe Tournament

Get your game on at the Fraternal Order of Eagles, located at the Washington Courthouse at 320 Sycamore St. Bring the whole family; the kids will have a blast. Show up at noon on Saturday, June 10, to sign up, and begin playing horseshoes at 1 p.m. The cost is just $10 per person, with all proceeds, of course, going to support funding for autism. If you have any questions, just call Mark Pauley at 937-302-0825.

4. Guided Sip and Paint

Calling the adults! Come out on Thursday, May 4 from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. for mimosas and a painting workshop. You don’t have to be a professional artist; just come as you are and enjoy snacking from the charcuterie boards and baked delicacies. The cost is $30 per person, and the event will be held at 101 S. Main St. Please drink responsibly and in moderation, and do not drink and drive.

Drive in style this spring in a new 2022 Ford EcoSport. Stop by John Hinderer Ford, located at 1700 Columbus Ave., and see this amazing vehicle for yourself. We also have a full lot of new and used vehicles just waiting for you!
