Washington Court House, OH coffee

Sitting down in a comfortable chair with a steaming cup of coffee is arguably one of the best ways to relax. So when you’re looking for some great coffee shops to visit, you’ll be glad to know that Washington Courthouse, OH has just what you desire. We’ve got you covered with the following shops in our area.

1. Platform Coffee House

From tasty drinks to baked goods to friendly staff, this shop boasts it all. The owners are Malori and Chris: a husband and wife team who desire to bring you the best beverages in a warm and welcoming environment. You’ll find a long list of beverages available here, including ones for the kiddos. From traditional coffee to energy spritzers to teas and Italian sodas, there’s something for everyone.

Popular choices include the iced caramel macchiato, the Honey Hive Shaken espresso, the Lumberjack, the chocolate strawberry macchiato, the Desert Dragon, the raspberry haze, and the Pink Paradise, just to name a few. For the kids, try the Milk Shake Up, the hot cocoa, or a steamer. Couple your drink with a fresh fruit plate or a bagel and spread. Platform Coffee House is located at 138 S. Fayette St. and they are open seven days a week.

2. Vinyl Coffee

The goal of Vinyl Coffee is to bring the community together through coffee and food. And when you step into this shop, you’ll feel that community right away. The venue is beautiful, with hardwood floors and tables, leather couches, and ambient lighting. We suggest the chai tea latte, the Loose Leaf tea, the Hot Cubano, the orange and cardamom, the lavender latte, and the Brown Butter. Non-coffee drinkers will enjoy the Topo Chico, the Fiji, or a juice.

They also provide a host of breakfast and lunch items. For breakfast, the Cali avocado toast and breakfast BLT are hits. For lunch, try the chipotle chicken on ciabatta or the turkey pesto. Stop by 143 N. Main St. any day with the exception of Sunday.

3. Two Scoops of Sugar

Owners Joan and Jill opened their dream coffee house in 2014, and it continues to be a local’s favorite. In addition to coffee, lattes, and mochas, you’ll be amazed at the full bakery, which includes cupcakes, cookies, brownies, pies, scones, muffins, breads, and more. You’ll be even more impressed when you taste one of these treats, created by Joan, who graduated with a degree in culinary arts.

Two Scoops of Sugar is open Tuesday through Saturday and can be found at 505 S. Elm St.
